Psychotherapy: As an experienced psychotherapist with 30+ years of experience, I work with children who have been traumatized from abuse or neglect, or who have a diagnosis of pediatric bipolar, ADHD, “special needs”, or who are classified as neurodivergent (Autism) no matter where they may be on the spectrum. I also specialize in women’s issues such as body dysmorphia (body Image), gender discrimination, equal rights, reproductive health, and trauma from abuse. In addition, I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQ community.
Senior Resources: I provide cognitive testing of frail elderly people to see if they can successfully continue to live independently with the addition of social services. Social Services are set up after assessing the safety of the home environment which is only done if a determination can be made that the elder’s cognitive levels do not border on dementia and that they can live alone safely with minor amendments. Examples of necessary social services may include Meals on Wheels, visiting nurses, transportation to doctors’ senior centers, or other recreational events. Each client may require different services based on their individual needs.
Educational Advocacy for Special Needs Children: My role is to act as a professional expert, to work as a bridge between parents, children, and the professionals who conduct Individualized Educational Programs (IEP) for special needs children, which is the legal right of these children to have in the American educational system.
